Once Narada came to VIshnu and asked why do people don't call Yudhistra as Daata , while they call Karna as Daata 

Vishnu says lets go and check ourself. Both went as poor brahmin and asked Yudhistra , dry sandal wood for prayer. It was monsoon time and there was heavy rain. 

Yudhistra sent his people all around and even after 3 days , they could not find dry sandal wood. Yudhistra apologized to brahmins for his inability to give them dry Sandalwood. 

Afterwards , they went to Karna and did similar request. Karna did the same and asked people to go around and find the wood. His servant failed as usual. Then Karna asked his servants to break doors and windows to donate to brahmins as they were from sandalwoods. 

Then Vishnu smiled at Narada. And said , Karan gave no excuse of the work. He went one step ahead to fulfil his duty. 

World is full of excuses makers. Be the problem solver and create trust that people can reply on you.
