Nationalism waters our ego. And ego is soul’s worst enemy. India is in ego trip today on independence day, Pakistan did yesterday. Ego is emotional drip which kills our creativity and innovation. It kills people who may be from their own community or other’s. Border are meaningless now a days. In the world of AI , the human mind has bigger threats. These threats are technical in nature. Nationalism is an outdated idea. It solves nothing.
Independence is a journey. We are dependent now too- just rulers have changed.
IN broader perspective, nature is our ruler. Consciousness or humanity is just one part of it. Flood problem is one example. Big problems like cancer, water issue , Air quality, space problem, heart failures or survival of humanity wont get solved by these human gods. They are powerless. Guns can't solve all issues.

Human brain is powerful. But right use is needed. Dying cancer patients don't need an overdose of nationality. They need a cure. EGO drive of nationalism kills our creative drive or desire to solve such issues. We question each penny spent on science. We remain silent when a human god spend money on self branding.
Ego has no meaning against the power of nature. It just distracts thoughts. Countries or communities fighting each other have no meaning for nature. Earth needs saviours.
Humanity is facing many crises. We need leaders and followers who can counter such diversions.

Ego is one part of emotional spectrum. Over emotional people compete with other fellow humans. That gives them an upper hand for sometime. We all are made of the same fabric. No one is superior, just different. Nationality questions the very same idea. Hitler got nothing in end by dripping entire generation in blood and hate. History is our biggest teacher.
Live and let live. Use each drop of thought/consciousness for human welfare. It should be our purpose. Building walls achieves nothing. We need bigger teams / resources to cater the needs of humanity.
